Wes Flanary
Wes Flanary
Studio 71 Resident Artist
Wes went from doing "traditional art" in small galleries, which was an ok time, to focusing on pop culture subjects and traveling to conventions (Comic Cons, Horror Cons and Tattoo Cons). He has a blast doing art that he enjoys and meeting people at the conventions. He has been drawing since he was a child. A great high school art teacher that convinced him to pursue art and design and the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale gave him an opportunity to make a living in the creative field. He began with graphic design, while still dabbling in art, then he focused on video and photography production as he progressed and evolved through the years. Because his day job was in the digital world, he had to find a more analog outlet for his creativity, so he started painting and drawing again. This has become a large part of what Flanary Creative is.
Wes has been a resident artist at Studio 71 since 20XX. Our infamous bride painted on the front of the building is a Wes Flanary original.
